I've been collecting, or rather "pinning", ideas from all over the internet for the nursery. My Aunt and Uncle are staying with us at the end of August, and will be the last guests to stay in the guest bedroom before we transform it into the nursery.
Wanna hear something funny, I have had people ask me with a serious face if I was going to turn my craft room into the nursery. Ummm, hello! Do I look crazy??? No way Jose am I loosing my craft room. Sorry future guests!
Anyways, as my belly continues to grow (I'm just over 4 1/2 months now) I am itching to get started on the nursery. Here are just a few ideas I'm considering....
I am about 99.99% sure I am making these hoops and either hanging them above the dresser or the baby's crib. I also like this wall color, it's similar to the color I used in my laundry room. Right now the guest bedroom is a soft, pretty blue.

Here's another nursery with the fabric hoops. I like how they incorporated the name.

Pom Poms. Love them! These would look so cute hanging above the crib in place of a mobile, or maybe in the corner of the room. I like how they used different colors.

A wall of children books. AWESOME! I also love the chair. I am on the hunt for an affordable glider chair that looks like this.

Love the DREAM banner hanging in the window. As well as the slipcover glider chair.

I can't wait to get started on all these ideas!
Jenny
I've been watching your pins and thinking that your baby girl is going to have the coolest nursery ever!!!
ReplyDeletevery cute ideas Jenny. I love the wall of books idea too, makes for a very colorful wall. I miss reading books with my children...now its text messages especially with Holden who's away at school.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the planning!
I like the pretty chandelier. So impractical for a nursery, but I like it anyway. Wall of books - super cool!
ReplyDeletelove the embroidery hoops! so cool! And I agree, don't give up your craft room for a guest room, they can sleep on the couch ;) So excited to see how it turns out!!
ReplyDeleteJenny, I have been waiting to see what you will be doing for the baby's room. And I never even thought that the craft room would give way to the baby's room!!! What are those crazy people thinking??? :) Can't wait to see the guest room transform into the baby's room. Just holler if you need help. I will have lots of free time after the 9th ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh...you are going to have the cutest darn baby room ever! I can't wait to see what you decide to do.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure you would have your husband add an addition before giving up your super cool craft room :)
I hope you are feeling great....let's get together soon!
Thanks everyone! And I'm glad you're with me keeping my craft room ;)
ReplyDeleteAdrienne - I would love that! I'll check my calendar and FB you.
I have also been watching your pins and love your nursery ideas! I have been collecting a TON of embroidery hoops at thrift stores but have no idea where to do the project so if you want them they are yours!
ReplyDeleteThe wall of books is amazing!
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the nursery ideas over at Mila's Daydreams?

Lovely Jenny! I can't wait to see how it turns out!
ReplyDeleteAnd why on earth would ANYONE think you would keep a guest room and NOT a craft room?
Heather - I might have to take you up on that offer! I have a few, but I will need more.
ReplyDeletePBJ - I'm off to check out her blog!
Love all your ideas! I also love that yummy textured ottoman in the 4th photo.
ReplyDeleteI too have been collecting embroidery hoops for collages, but have yet to do it. I used to love sitting with my grandma and embroidering on a little hoop - too bad there are no photos of that! Those are the kinds of memories you're going to create with your little girl - and we all know you'll be the best historian for her!
